The Go component uses a Java applet in order to display the gobans. You need to have a Java Runtime Environment (JRE) installed on your computer. You can check if JRE is installed or not simply by using the
java -version
command. You also need to configure your browser to allow applets. You can check your Java environment online using the following sun link:
http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml.
